After Engaging.io designed and built the new SOCCI website, the least it seemed we could do was to name one of our boats after them and treat them to one of our corporate days.

Perfect setting

With the weather topping 38 degrees, and only 11 days before Xmas, spirits were high as the self-proclaimed tech-geeks saw their newly liveried boat for the first time and were eager to get out on the ocean.

Whilst the SOCCI volunteers for the day took them through their paces, shades and bar-b-q’s were set up back up the beach at Balmoral for what would be some well-earned refreshments afterwards.

Healthy competition

With 4 teams vying for top spot, there was the usual rivalry we’ve come to love and expect whenever work colleagues get the chance to beat their boss at something.

All’s well the ends well

In the end, there could only be one winning team, which regrettably did have the CEO on it, but as most of the SOCCI volunteers disappeared after the event and Engaging.io got stuck into their beers and bar-b-q in the tranquil settings of Sydney Harbour’s largest beach, it seemed they were all left pretty pleased with their first outrigging experience.
