SOCCI’s latest OC6 gets traditional island blessing

SOCCI would like to thank Vaana Tahei Ohmsen for blessing our Fai Va’a OC6 after last Sunday’s races.
As the boat is new, we were testing our good fortune in paddling without this blessing (as is traditional) and it was fantastic that Vaana agreed to come down to Balmoral at short notice to correct this oversight.
Thank you Vaana for the blessing and for bestowing good fortune on our boat and all who paddle in her.
