In stark contrast to this year’s Sydney Harbour Challenge, Koa Kai’s race event at La Peruse in February saw the traditional South Sydney winds abate and glorious weather ensued. Bad news for the local kite surfers, but great if you were outrigging.

It was amazing to put out our novice crew for their first taste of racing, and our womens and mixed crews all brought home medals with the masters mixed crew 3rd over the line and 2nd in their category and the open womens crew claiming bronze.
