Being the oldest outrigger canoe club in NSW, we have some pretty dedicated members who’ve been doing the sport a long time, and it’s hard to make them much more enthusiastic than they already are.  Hard, but not impossible.

Throw a breaching whale 30 meters off the bow of the canoe into the mix, or stopping mid-paddle to hop out of the canoe and swim with a pod of wild dolphins, then you’re hard pressed to find anyone in the boat not grinning from ear to ear and feeling genuinely blessed and at peace with the world.

Whilst it doesn’t happen every week, or even every month, the fact we get this opportunity at all is amazing.  Sydney Harbour is the largest natural harbour in the world, so it’s hardly surprising that it’s not only the humans that come to do the odd spot of sightseeing!
